Are you a new mother having trouble adjusting to this new season of life? Do you feel depressed, anxious, have intrusive or obsessive thoughts? Are you constantly worrying or fearful for your baby?

Are you pregnant and just want a space to process your emotions and all the changes unfolding? Are you having difficulty with your infant or toddler?  Do you and your partner need some guidance with your parenting techniques? Are you feeling overwhelmed or exhausted with the demands of parenting?

Please know, you are NOT alone. It can be very difficult to reach out for assistance. This does NOT mean you are a bad mother! Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders often go unrecognized and untreated.  Many mothers often do not know that they are struggling with a Perinatal Mood or Anxiety Disorder.  Postpartum Depression, Postpartum Anxiety, Postpartum OCD, Postpartum Bipolar, Postpartum PTSD and Postpartum Psychosis are very real and are very treatable.

By reaching out for help, you are taking the first step in investing and caring for yourself and strengthening your relationship with your little one and family unit.

Some reasons new parents, or seasoned parents, may reach out for assistance may include:

  • Difficulty adjusting to motherhood.
  • Baby Blues
  • Feeling overwhelmed, stressed, angry or sad.
  • Challenges with their infant or toddler.
  • Postpartum Depression, Postpartum Anxiety or other Perinatal Mood or Anxiety Disorders.
  • Unresolved trauma or conflicts impacting parent-infant relationship.
  • Grief/Loss
  • Parents not on the same page in child rearing practices.
  • Difficulty connecting with their infant or toddler.
Additionally,  a parent may have experienced birth trauma, stillbirth, miscarriage,  abortion, or other forms of loss, grief or traumatic experience.

It is OK to ask for help! It is a step in the right direction and a testament to your love and investment in yourself and your family!
